Harpsichord Case

A 18th-century Italian style "coffin" made for a harpsichordist. Painted and decorated by talented painter Sharon Molloy.
Detail: The keyed front panel slides out when in use. The legs are detachable, as this style of harpsichord was often placed on a table for playing.
The lid was made using a hollow construction called 'tamburato' to make it lightweight and stable.
