Kerry Keating has spent 25 years coaching at the collegiate level, nine of which were as the Head Coach of the Santa Clara men's basketball program. Keating led the Broncos to the 2013 College Basketball Invitational postseason tournament title and the 2011 CollegeInsider.com postseason championship. He is the only coach to have been on the bench for 4 different postseason finals: NCAA (2006), NIT (2001), CBI (2013) and CIT (2011).

Prior to his time at Santa Clara, Keating served four seasons as an assistant coach at UCLA, helping the Bruins to Final Four appearances in 2006 and 2007. He made a name for himself as one of the top recruiters in the nation as well as one of the most technologically innovative coaches in college basketball. Keating also played a pivotal role in the recruitment and coaching of several Bruins currently in the NBA.Keating spent many years as assistant coach to Buzz Peterson – at Tennessee, Tulsa, and Appalachian State. Before their coaching relationship, Keating also assisted at Wake Forest, Vanderbilt and his alma mater Seton Hall. The 1993 graduate was a walk-on for head coach P.J. Carlesimo's Pirates during the 1989-90 season. Keating began his coaching career the next year when he served as the video coordinator from 1990-93. During his four years in South Orange, N.J., the Pirates won a total of 88 games and played in the NCAA Tournament each of his last three seasons. In 1991, Seton Hall advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight.

Keating was born in Massachusetts and raised in Rockville Centre, New York. Keating is married to Treena Camacho, and they have two sons.
